Guess what is the most common reason people give when asked why they don’t workout ?? yeah! You guessed it right. NOT ENOUGH TIME.

This is what I call a classic Excuse which has consistently ranked as nos 1 obstacle .

It applies to All. At some point or the other each of us have faced this obstacle in some form or the other.

NOT ENOUGH TIME!.

Yes, it’s true we live in a fast paced world that makes it difficult to squeeze out time even for the things that are very important for us. Such as health.

But there are simple tactics that can help you overcome the obstacles that’s preventing you from exercising.

Now the first thing you have to decide is why you want to exercise  and why is it so important, how you look at your workouts. For most you, your workouts becomes a tedious job that you have to get done at any cost either to get over the guilt of missing it later or to please your trainer 😉 in any case you are not doing it for yourself and that’s pretty much bound to fail. Secondly you think good workouts can happen only in their gyms. They cannot imagine themselves doing anything outside of these zones.

You can get BETTER Results even outside your GYM.

What I fail to understand is that your body is made for only one thing and that is called ‘MOVEMENT’whichever way you do it. Exercising does not mean using fancy gym equipment’s or wearing fancy gym wears and trying to look smart lifting weights in front of the mirrors. It goes way beyond all that.

You need to think bigger. You need to open your mind to the possibilities. You need to stop thinking exercise and start thinking movement.

Movement is going for a hike with your friends. Movement is Dancing like crazy. Movement is going for a random bike ride. Movement is getting up from your chair every once in a while and stretching. Movement is running around  with your kids.

And yes, movement is also getting your heart rate up every now and then and lifting something heavy once in a while when you can.

Movement is a mindset and of you can make it a priority you will find time for it.

So now when you are pressed with time, have unexpected guests at home or going out on a vacation ..

You can still find the time to do your favorite movements. Remember even  10 mins’ workouts spread throughout the day can give you as good results as one hour of exercising.

Here are some tips that can save you time and give you big results.

Focus on the Big Muscle Groups.

My general rule of thumb at my own gym is that I try to be as efficient as possible. That means focusing on big compound exercises that target multiple muscle groups all in the same movement. Think Squats.

Squats engage the entire lower body- specially the quads, hamstrings, glutes, and calves and engage the core.

Then comes Supersets. they are fun and bring about a new level of intensity to your training.

A superset is simply two or more exercises done together, sequentially one right after the other. For example, Exercise A – Body weight Squats B – Pushups.

Traditionally you would do your squats first take a break and move on to do the pushups. but in supersets you do X times squats + X times push ups. rest for a period and repeat again.

Prepare your Go – To workouts

Unless you plan your workouts ahead, you will not feel inclined to do it anyways so having few homemade routines up your sleeves always helps in case of emergency. Here is a tip, always have two or three full body workouts in your pocket, ready to deploy at any time. They should be simple, quick, and intense. For example, a 100 rep ladder Freestyle workout. Start with 100 jumping Jacks and 100 Bicycle Crunches then do a 90, 80,70 and so on descending ladder till you reach 10 each.

Of course you can play around with the numbers and the reps and exercises. This is just to give you an idea.

Also try to time yourself so you know you are progressing. Always helps to keep a written log of your workouts and activities.

I hope you find these tips efficient and insightful. This is what I do so sharing with you.

To sum it up , If you’re struggling to find time to exercise , first start by changing the way you look at it. Stop thinking exercise, start thinking movement and quit worrying about finding the time to exercise.

When you do workout on your own, strive to be as efficient as possible. Focus on compound movements experiment supersets and have yours go- to workouts handy so you are ready to roll when the opportunity for a workout does present itself.

Thanks for reading and hope you will implement it avoid the “NO TIME “excuse in Future.
